Wasichana Wetu Wafaulu' means Let Our Girls Succeed and was a holistic six-year project specifically designed to remove cultural and socio-economic barriers that prevented or made it difficult for primary school girls in arid and semi-arid lands (ASAL) and urban slums in Kenya to transition to secondary schools and other alternative pathways. Kesho Kenya was one of four partners in Kenya with whom Education Development Trust implemented the project. The Wasichana Wetu Wafaulu (WWW) project supported access, retention, and transition of over 15000 girls in marginalized communities through education, scholarships, mentorship, and community engagement, empowering them to overcome obstacles and excel academically while becoming leaders in their communities.
