About Event

This past week, our Kesho Kenya Pamodzi project team embarked on a meaningful journey around the coastal region to mark the closeout of the transformative Pamodzi for Inclusive Education project. It was a time of reflection, celebration, and forward planning as we engaged in heartfelt conversations with our dedicated community champions in Taita Taveta, Kwale, Mombasa, and Tana River County. Together, we discussed the project's impactful journey, celebrated our successes, acknowledged the challenges faced, and charted the way forward. For the past three years, the Pamodzi project has been a beacon of hope and progress in South-East Africa. Spearheaded by a dynamic transnational consortium of four organizations - Rays of Hope Ministries (Malawi), Fount for Nations (Malawi), Kesho Kenya (Kenya), and Shule Direct (Tanzania) our mission has been clear: to bridge the gap between inclusive education policies and their implementation. Despite strong global, regional, and national policy frameworks, Malawi, Kenya, and Tanzania have faced significant challenges in policy awareness and execution. Our project has worked tirelessly to address these gaps, striving to create a robust environment for civil society advocacy and transparency. Our objectives being to enhance the use of evidence on inclusive and special needs education among policymakers and influencers within our region, developed compelling economic and social rationales to drive investments in inclusive and special needs education ant to fortify advocacy campaigns, focusing on critical areas of investment in inclusive education. As we conclude this chapter, we remain committed to the vision of inclusive education for all. Our discussions over the weekend reinforced the importance of our collective efforts and the need to continue advocating for inclusive education policies and their effective implementation. We will wrap up our closeout activities this coming week in Kilifi County, where we look forward to more engaging and insightful conversations. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. The Pamodzi project may be closing out, but the impact and inspiration it has ignited will continue to drive our efforts for a more inclusive and equitable education system in South-East Africa. #KeshoKenya #PamodziProject #InclusiveEducation #CommunityChampions #EducationForAll #GPE #OxfamIBIS #EducationOutLoud #RaysOfHopeMinistries #FountForNations #ShuleDirect #SouthEastAfrica #TaitaTaveta #Kwale #Mombasa #TanaRiver #kilifi Global Partnership for Education Pamodzi for Inclusive Education in South East Africa
