About Project

The Primary Health Care (PHC) Advocacy Program is a collaborative initiative aimed at strengthening advocacy for equitable, inclusive, and sustainable healthcare across eight counties in Kenya. Kesho Kenya, as a sub-recipient of HENNET, is part of this effort to bring together civil society organizations, government agencies, and communities to bridge the gap between policy and practice, ensuring that PHC is prioritized in planning and resource allocation. The program focuses on building the capacity of CSOs and community leaders for effective advocacy, promoting resource mobilization and accountability through social accountability models, and integrating gender-responsive approaches to address disparities in healthcare access and outcomes. By empowering communities to actively engage in health policy and decision-making, and by leveraging best practices and proven tools, the program seeks to create a more responsive, inclusive, and resilient healthcare system.
